Reach Out Counselling recognised

We are delighted to have the fantastic news that our Reach Out Counselling project has received more funding from the Big Lottery Reaching Communities Fund. It means we can continue providing counselling and groups for people struggling with issues around drug and alcohol use, and develop the programme to help more people.

The Reach Out project has been running for 4 years with Big Lottery support and the trained volunteer counsellors have worked with hundreds of people to help them and their friends and families. Up to 5000 hours of counselling is offered every year throughout Surrey. Sue Murphy, Deputy CEO said;” We are delighted that the Big Lottery has recognised the difference that counselling can make and have funded us again. Often people who use substances are dealing with traumatic events in their lives and counselling can help people gain the skills needed to find other ways to deal with difficulties.”
