Guildford Mayor’s Award for Haydn Morris

Last Thursday, 3 May, we were delighted to have a visit in Jenner Road by our late CEO’s, Haydn Morris’ wife Lauren, his mother and a friend. But making the visit even more memorable was also welcoming the current Mayor of Guildford, Cllr Nigel Manning, who came to present Lauren with a posthumous Mayor’s Award for Service to the Community for Haydn.  He was nominated in recognition of his unique and visionary contribution, both professionally and personally, to transforming the social landscape on drug, alcohol and mental health issues in the borough.

The Awards are for people who go the extra mile to help their local community. The Mayor said:” I was delighted to welcome local residents to a special awards ceremony to celebrate their achievements in supporting their local communities. It’s great to celebrate the community spirit that makes Guildford the place it is.”

What a wonderful tribute to Haydn’s work and vision!
