A Novel Idea Bookshop

When Catalyst and the Welcome Project took over a bookshop in Godalming as part of their work to improve wellbeing and mental health, they asked local people to come up with a new name and ‘A Novel Idea’ was born.

Welcome-Project-Novel-Idea-001

It provides a range of high quality books and the income generated supports the Catalyst Welcome Project which offers a range of wellbeing activities to local people of working age.

The bookshop has been and continues to be staffed entirely by a team of dedicated volunteers many of whom have benefited from engagement with the Welcome Project.  There is a range of donated high quality fiction, non fiction and children’s books.
