Job description
Job responsibilities
We have an exciting opportunity for a full or part time band 5 trainer with lived experience. The post offers experience in training a range of professionals in primary care and across statutory and voluntary sector services who support people experiencing complex emotional needs and personality disorder across Surrey Heartlands and NE Hants. We have recently offered training to GP surgery staff, family centre teams, Citizens’ Advice Bureau and Surrey Police. We train both in person and online. You will join a friendly and supportive team of staff of lived experience trainers, psychotherapist, clinical psychologists and an administrator. As we are a newly established service, this would be a diverse role with opportunities to contribute to the development of the service as well as co-produce and co-deliver consultation and training. There will be opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills through CPD, training and reflective practice. In addition, SABP has a dedicated peer support network for those using their lived experience in their role as well as a Trust wide network for all staff with lived experience of mental health difficulties.
As an early implementer site for new models of care, we have a comprehensive primary care personality disorder service as well as established primary care MH teams working alongside GP practices. We are currently developing integrated care pathways across primary and secondary care.
