About the role

Time To Change Surrey is a local campaign commissioned by Surrey County Council Public Health and delivered by a partnership of voluntary sector organisations in Surrey; Catalyst, Mary Frances Trust and Let’s Link. The campaign aims to reduce mental health stigma and discrimination.

The objectives for Time To Change Surrey are:

  1. Improve the local population’s understanding of mental health and positively change the behaviour and attitudes of the local population towards people with mental health problems
  2. Reduce the levels of reported mental health stigma and discrimination in the local area (for example in the workplace, health and social care, education, community and social settings)
  3. Increase the confidence and ability of people with mental health problems (as well as their families and carers), to address stigma/discrimination in order to reduce mental health inequalities.

Time To Change Surrey – the partners delivering the project and the commissioners behind it – create a collaborative agent for change. We are looking for someone with the passion and skills to help us realise our over-arching goal: to stamp out mental health stigma in Surrey.

The Project Coordinator will oversee all aspects of the campaign/project. You will be someone who cares passionately about changing perceptions, prejudices, attitudes and behaviour towards marginalised and often vulnerable people in society.
