About the role
Time To Change Surrey is a local campaign commissioned by Surrey County Council Public Health and delivered by a partnership of voluntary sector organisations in Surrey; Catalyst, Mary Frances Trust and Let’s Link. The campaign aims to reduce mental health stigma and discrimination.
The objectives for Time To Change Surrey are:
- Improve the local population’s understanding of mental health and positively change the behaviour and attitudes of the local population towards people with mental health problems
- Reduce the levels of reported mental health stigma and discrimination in the local area (for example in the workplace, health and social care, education, community and social settings)
- Increase the confidence and ability of people with mental health problems (as well as their families and carers), to address stigma/discrimination in order to reduce mental health inequalities.
Time To Change Surrey – the partners delivering the project and the commissioners behind it – create a collaborative agent for change. We are looking for someone with the passion and skills to help us realise our over-arching goal: to stamp out mental health stigma in Surrey.
The Project Coordinator will oversee all aspects of the campaign/project. You will be someone who cares passionately about changing perceptions, prejudices, attitudes and behaviour towards marginalised and often vulnerable people in society.
