SUBSTANCE MISUSE OUTREACH NAVIGATOR – GUILDFORD

Part-time 3 days per week

Catalyst are looking for a Substance Misuse Outreach (SMO) Navigator to be part of a joint initiative funded by the MHCLG Rapid Rehousing Pathway 2 initiative and commissioned by Guildford Borough Council to have a positive impact on rough sleeping numbers and on the entire pathway.

The SMO Navigator would be co-located with the Rough Sleeper Outreach Team in Guildford town centre. There is an element of crisis response to this role and also anti-social hours at times, so some evening work may be required.

The National Lottery Community Fund has awarded Catalyst Reach Out Service additional funding for 4 years to provide individual and couples counselling, as well as peer group support and family/friends support affected by drug and/or alcohol misuse.

The Reach Out aim is to support individual recovery as well as help people rebuild families and communities throughout Surrey, thereby improving health and social functioning.

We are looking for a motivated individual to:

·        Lead the service to deliver one-to-one and couples counselling and group work support

·        Ensure the service maintains standards of therapeutic practice which adheres to BACP ethics, best practice guidance, and Catalyst policies and procedures.

·        Recruit, train, supervise and support volunteer counsellors and supervisors.

·        Develop the service based on needs of individuals and families and beyond the end of the Lottery contract

Catalyst are looking for someone with community-based experience in supporting and enabling people to improve and manage their own mental health and wellbeing.

The role is contributes to Catalyst’s Community Connections service which along with other community services provide one-to-one support, wellbeing groups and activities, and access to volunteering which are complementary to, and reduce the need for, services offered by the statutory sector.

The Catalyst team are known locally as ‘The Welcome Project’ and cover Runnymede, Spelthorne, West Elmbridge and Woking.

TRIAGE ASSESSOR AND ADMINISTRATOR –  Reach Out project – Guildford

This is a chance to become involved in a valuable area of Catalyst providing crucial support to not only our clients, but our front of house team also.  The candidate will play a pivotal role within the organisation as the consistent face and voice of Catalyst.

Full time 35 hours per week– PART-TIME & FLEXIBLE WORKING CONSIDERED

You will work within a multi-disciplinary team based in Redhill, alongside our local NHS partner, to provide a seamless service and a broad range of interventions, treatment and recovery support for people with alcohol dependence, and/or problematic drug use. Your role will be to respond to individual needs and could include the following; advice, information, harm reduction, needle exchange, assessment and care planning, one-to-one work using evidenced based approaches and group work.

Our aim is to help individuals, alongside their families and carers, achieve and sustain their personal goals and improve their health and wellbeing for their future.

Catalyst High Impact (CHI) Assertive Outreach Worker – Surrey-wide

Full or Part-time

Catalyst is looking to appoint two people who have experience of assertive outreach to work within a small team which works closely with Alcohol Specialist Nurses and Community Harm and Risk Management Meetings (CHaRMMs) to work differently with drinkers not in contact with treatment services and who have complex needs.

The Catalyst High Impact team work to the approaches of the ‘Blue Light Project’ providing engagement, harm-reduction, motivation to change, and preparation for treatment for high risk and alcohol dependent drinkers who are having the greatest impact on public services and the wider community across Surrey.
