COMMUNITY DRUG & ALCOHOL WORKER – GUILDFORD (Full time 35 hours – PART-TIME & FLEXIBLE WORKING CONSIDERED)

You will work within a multi-disciplinary team based in Guildford, alongside our local NHS partner, to provide a seamless service and a broad range of interventions, treatment and recovery support for people with alcohol dependence, and/or problematic drug use. Your role will be to respond to individual needs and could include the following; advice, information, harm reduction, needle exchange, assessment and care planning, one-to-one work using evidenced based approaches and group work.

Our aim is to help individuals, alongside their families and carers, achieve and sustain their personal goals and improve their health and wellbeing for their future.

Whilst experience of drug and alcohol support work is highly desirable, we welcome applications from candidates with experience of supporting vulnerable clients in a variety of settings.  This is a chance for you to broaden your skillset and receive training, development and mentoring in this area of work.

  • *NEW * We are looking for a volunteer!

We have a vacancy for a Reception/Admin Volunteer at our central Guildford Head Office.

·         Monday to Thursday, Wednesday would be a preferred priority

·         Half or full days – flexible working hours between 9am and 5pm.

·         Duties: Working with the Front office team who handle calls and referrals, reception duties including meeting and greeting clients, counsellors and visitors, data inputting, archiving and filing.

·         No lone working

·         DBS – our staff generally have enhanced DBS but this role does not require one

·         Our office hours are 9am – 5pm

·         Term: 2 months in the first instance, to be reviewed
